BUSINESS IS DONE BETTER TOGETHER

FREE HEALTHCARE PERKS FOR CHAMBER MEMBERS UNTIL DECEMBER
A free access to a support helpline, round-the-clock GP appointments, and an extensive discount scheme is all included in a new offer exclusively available to Black Country Chamber of Commerce Members.
Leaders at many of the region’s Chamber Member businesses have the opportunity to give their team access to a holistic wellbeing service designed to protect their health and wellbeing from their heads to their toes, thanks to not-for-profit Health Cash Plan provider, Paycare.
The employee wellbeing package, Bundle, is completely free until the end of November 2020 and can then be continued on a no-obligation basis from December 2020 onwards.
Included in the service is a round-the-clock Telephone Support Helpline for any employee to call and confidentially chat about a wide range of life events.
Whether it’s debt or legal support, health and wellbeing advice, guidance for managers and team leaders, signposting towards caring resources for parents or those looking after elderly relatives, the helpline can be useful in a variety of circumstances.
Members also have access to a 24/7 online and telephone GP Consultation Service to help individuals receive quicker access to healthcare support. My Pocket GP aims to take the pressure off NHS waiting lists and ensure those using it can get an appointment at a time convenient to them – without having to physically get to their medical practice.
All of the service’s doctors are experienced NHS GPs and can help any time of day or night with either a phone call or a video consultation, following up with a private prescription delivered to the patient’s door or even an open private specialist referral.
The third part of Bundle is access to Paycare Perks – an exclusive online discount platform which offers a variety of everyday savings on shopping, leisure, entertainment, travel, and health and fitness products and services.
Anthony Burns, Commercial Director, said: “At Paycare we have a long and proud history of helping individuals and families, as well as companies and their employees, to look after their health through our range of Health Cash Plans.
“For us, it’s all about looking at the entire health and wellbeing of our Members — not just their physical health but their mental, emotional and financial wellbeing too. That’s why our Bundle has been designed to help employees access support for all these integral parts of their overall health and happiness.
“We hope lots of Chamber Members will take the opportunity to access these services completely free of charge, especially as they are the first group of people to be able to do so. We’d love to hear any feedback about Bundle so that we can continue to develop offers and services that work for our Members.
“Bundle mirrors the fantastic wellbeing services integral to many of Paycare’s Health Cash Plans and was an idea conceived and launched with over 300 Members before we’d even heard the words Covid-19. We know support like the virtual GP appointments and telephone counselling have become even more essential during this global pandemic, so we’re pleased that we can offer this complimentary membership to Chamber businesses while many will be dealing with the impact of the lockdown and associated restrictions and worries.”

EXPLORING NEW APPROACHES, INSIGHTS AND TAKING PART IN AN OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY.
In order for the Black Country to remain competitive and thrive, great business leaders and dynamic managers are needed.
There are many who find themselves in management positions or elevated to roles that feel they have missed out on essential training which allows them to be effective and deliver success for themselves and their business.
For the last five years, the Black Country Chamber has worked with Lotus Flower Consultancy in order to help those individuals who want to challenge themselves to develop new insights, explore different approaches and share invaluable development experiences.
Over 200 individuals have taken their learning back to 140 businesses to help navigate challenges, embrace the opportunities and help their teams and businesses grow.
In recent months, these leaders and managers have stepped up to lead through the most turbulent of times, and whilst utilising the invaluable lessons learned, they have led from the front and will continue doing so during the uncertain months ahead.
Starting in September the Chamber, in collaboration with Lotus Flower Consultancy, will take its next cohort on board for the start of its Autumn series of training, its Management Development Programme.
Designed to stretch and challenge participants, programmes are run with participants from different backgrounds, experiences and industries creating a diverse environment where individuals can test and apply learning and developing together.

The Enabling Leaders Programme, once again led by award-winning self-development and business coach, Wendyanne Shapiro from Lotus Flower Consultancy, is a complete development programme that has been specifically designed to take leaders out of their business and give them space to reflect on themselves and their business priorities.
Providing six in-depth sessions over a full year, the programme gives business leaders an independent ear which brings an external perspective to an individual’s challenge and the application of ideas. The programme is built around the core themes and trends identified by leading business schools, where participants will explore three core areas: Self, Team and Business.
